LMS Electricians – Terms of Business

1. Who We Are

LMS Electricians Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”) provides electrical services to domestic and commercial customers (“you”, “your”).

2. Services We Provide

We carry out electrical installations, repairs, maintenance, testing, inspections and call-outs. All work is completed in line with UK regulations, including BS 7671 Wiring Regulations and Part P Building Regulations.

3. Quotes & Estimates

  • Estimates are provided free of charge unless otherwise agreed.
  • Quotes are valid for 30 days.
  • If additional work is required that was not included in the original quote, this will be discussed with you and charged separately.

4. Pricing & Payment

  • Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due on completion of the work.
  • For larger projects, staged payments may apply and will be agreed in writing before work begins.
  • We accept payment by bank transfer, debit/credit card or cash.
  • Late payments may incur interest at 4% above the Bank of England base rate, calculated daily.

5. Cancellations

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 24 hours’ notice.
  • If less than 24 hours’ notice is given, a call-out or cancellation fee may apply.
  • If we need to cancel, we will rearrange with you as soon as possible.

6. Access & Responsibilities

  • You must provide safe access to the property and ensure that work areas are clear of obstacles.
  • Please notify us in advance of any hazardous materials, including asbestos.
  • We are not responsible for moving furniture or belongings unless previously agreed.

7. Warranties & Guarantees

  • Our workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from completion.
  • Materials and parts are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
  • Guarantees do not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, or work that has been altered by others after completion.

8. Liability

  • We hold full public liability insurance.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost income or business interruption.
  • Our liability is limited to the value of the work carried out.

9. Compliance & Certification

  • All work is carried out in line with current UK electrical regulations.
  • Where applicable, you will be provided with the relevant certificates (e.g. Electrical Installation Certificate, Minor Works Certificate, or EICR).

10. Complaints

If you have a concern or complaint, please contact us directly by phone or email. We will investigate and aim to resolve the issue quickly and fairly.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Business are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
